Anyway, I wonder if some of the concerns about SPs "marketing" themselves is a result of the change a few years ago to the advertisers' section?

Before the change, regular schmucks on TERB could post comments in that section. Now that the advertising section is restricted to paying advertisers, there is less interchange between some of the women who advertise and other board contributors. Perhaps that makes it more difficult for women to feel comfortable promoting themselves elsewhere on the board.

I must admit that I get a bit turned on when reading posts from intelligent and witty sp's who are able to express their opinions and feelings here...but I have never consummated my secret lust by hiring them....yet. Perhaps I'm afraid that our mental connection will not live up to my illusory expectations, thereby spoiling the fantasy.....now back to my Asian FOBs.

I would love to say it doesn't factor my decision too, but it certainly can't hurt. I love MP/SP that replies to your messages, and a little annoy when they don't. But it's alot easier to tap into the MP/SP personality when they communicate more with you.

Too bad you weren't around when KatiePie was contributing to the board. She was hot, smart, engaging and Asian.

KatiePie was another Indy whose posts helped her attract more attention than she could manage (although the trick was to send her a PM at odd hours of the morning, like 2:30 or so. )
