Boy, it's been nice and quiet arund here since Dave either got a job, or went on holiday. Not a single "serious" thread has been hi-jacked by his weak jokes; the dumb band-width- wasting one-liners have been banished; and there are semblances of intelligent conversations which he has not been around to butt in on.

Hurray!

But, somehow, I don't think it's gonna last much longer. He'll be BACK! Arrrggghh!!!

Gentlemen: I have only been on TERB for a short while but have read some of Sub Dave's comments--one actually referred to me--but I think that those of you who are more erudite and sophisticated than he is should try and teach him how to behave properly on this site. If he is a sub and does not have a permanent and truly dominant Master/Mistress, then he is a loose cannon ready to fire off--and it would seem that he has been doing this much to your annoyance. May I suggest that he is somewhat immature and is trying to gain attention?

A tale of a girl and two monks ...

One day two monks left for town to beg for food. On their way, they notice a young girl who was afraid to leap over a small stream. The girl asked one of the monks if he could carry her over. One of the monks complied and carried her over the stream. The girl gave the monk a big hug and thanked him, then the monks and the girl parted never to be seen together again.

The monks returned to the temple to enjoy their food. Yet, the other monk questioned the monk who carried the girl and asked "Buddha teaches us not to touch women, and yet, you carried her over the stream". In which the other monk replied "I already put her down once we crossed the stream, it is you who is still carrying her."
