There are men who will denigrate women for the same behaviour which they praise in themselves.
Such men are misogynists and must be recognized as such.
Jokes can be funny as long as everyone understands the underlying humour: the show "Married with Children" was not funny because it was misogynist (and it certainly was) but because underneath the jokes the show portrayed a loving and committed relationship. One which is missing from so many relationships today.

There's still a very deeply held gender bias in society that runs both ways. For example, society praises mothers who are "nurturing" but praises fathers for being "strong".
