Apple iPad

So the Apple iPad is on pre-order starting today... While I think it looks pretty cool, I can see a lot of clumsy ppl mishandling it and dropping these bad boys. I don't think they'll fair too well in a fall.

Not really, I use both, but Mac about 80% of the time. I guess I'm just a hard nose sell, although I have notice how many o the PCs have tried to look like Mac in their hardware and software. Dell is really obvious hardware manufacturer and take a look at the latest interfaces for windows. It' not hard to see it one bit. I've also notice as a sideline, there's way more product placement using Mac products on the tele and the big screen than PCs. Dell again being the biggest PC maker that get the product placement in full gear.

I'm not Mac guy, don't even know how to use one. But I have an Iphone and yes, it's pretty amazing. I do agree with the assessment that the Ipad is an oversized Iphone but the thing is, I truly believe the Iphone is bad for your eyes. After an hour or so of reading/ surfing the net I find the rest of the room kind of blurry, I believe from eye strain. That never happens when I'm on a normal sized computer; so why not use a normal computer you ask. The Iphone platform and its apps are so fast, simple and easy to use, I would prefer to use it 90% of the time to a PC.

Could see someone damaging the iPad fairly easily.... its not going to sit on your lap like a lap top.... yet it is portable.
