Well i won't be looking for many $35 wonders in the west. Seen any Tata Nanos around. You think with the massive south Asian community in the GTA there'e be some effort to bring it ove after 'some' upgrades to bring it into the 21st century.

Apple clearly caught the industry napping when they brought the iPad to fruition. it still amazes me that there is really no shipping date announced from the would be competitors.
cheers to Apple for the iPad. it makes for a wonderful toy for the kids
Now that everyone is waking up it should be a very interesting Christmas season for tablet/slate/pad devices. that is, if some of the big guns in tech can get their acts together and join the party
I agree, will be interesting to see if this becomes a competitive market (laptop/netbook/smartphone) or single vendor dominated (MP3/Ipod).

I used mine on a recent vacation trip to South Africa. Didn't bring a laptop, which for me was an experiment in cutting the cord. I used it for entertainment (watched movies, tv shows) on the flights, read a couple of books, email, surfing, and reviewing my photos/videos (Nikon D3s) and uploading a few of them to Facebook. I honestly didn't miss the laptop at all, battery life was simply amazing.

I used Wifi for connectivity, I could have bought a 3G pre-paid SIM but didn't bother.
