So while everyone else in the world has had to make adjustments and use proven technology the teachers union believes that the "network's ability to handle a surge in usage" is a problem.
Apparently some teachers just want to collect a paycheque for doing nothing and make excuses and not use the tools provided to them to keep students learning...like everyone else in the world is doing.
"At issue is union concerns about online security, students’ lack of access to the internet or family situations that could make holding live, virtual classes an issue. Some have also raised concerns about networks’ ability to handle a surge in usage."
