You I believe mean the Knights Templar (for some reason the Teutonic Knights seems to make greater sense since I originally thought the same as well).
The actual order was forceably disbanded in the early Fourteenth Century.
There is a Knights Templar which is part of the York Rite of Freemansonry - but that has nothing to do with Anders Behring other than the name.
There is also a far right wing English organization with the name which may or may not have influenced Behring.
