I loved the movie and appreciated the new footage.
The critics didn’t like it and thought most of the extras, primarily the French plantation scene, didn’t add anything.
Of course it was to illustrate the French connection to the earlier war in Vietnam, and their refusal to give up.
It means more now that the U.S. and Vietnam are more allied now.
