I am new to netflix.

I watched 2 hrs. of HD netflix. That blew almost 7GB of bandwidth. I use a Canadian ISP so I have a low cap.

I know you can lower the quality but here are my questions:

1) Does 7G for 2 hrs. of HD sound right?
2) Does anyone use the "medium" streaming setting on netflix and how is that?

I love netflix but our low bandwidth caps make is pretty much costly.

Thanks,

2hrs HD 7GB is too much, but maybe the movie you are watching is Super HD, then 7GB would be absolutely right!

If you are with Bell they had unlimited for an additional $10 per month. If they say too late then tell them Rogers offered it to you.

Get the Roku or apple TV as well so you don't have to move your laptop around, then you can also get unblock us to switch regions and get US and UK Netflix for an extra $5 a month.

Change to Teksavvy for your Internet service - they have truly unlimited bandwidth plans that you don't have to haggle or pay extra to receive.

What I do to get American Netflix's on the Apple TV is I change the dns from automatic to manual and I enter this dns 109 123 111 024

Then on the iPad I don't change the dns so if there is something I want to watch on the Canadian netflixs then I just stream it from the iPad to the Apple TV.

If your using your laptop just get Hola it allows you to switch from Canadian to American to British Netflix's.

Hola is free to download just google hola unblocker.

Now in regards to your question about data. I had 80gigs a month originally and I was blowing through the data mainly cause of Netflix's so I upgrades to 275gigs a month and it leaves ample amount of data left at the end of the month.

I switched from Rogers to Teksavvy before I signed up for Netflix. Have a 300 gig/month limit.

The Canadian Netflix is lame. If you are serious, check on Google on how to get the US version.

Cheers.

Not impressed with the USA one. Canada has better movies, full UFC cards etc. USA has more TV shows and a lot more of the very bad movies.

Amour, the sessions etc. are on Canadian but lack on the usa one. I'll stick to Canada.
