Anyone with Medellin info?

I went to Bogota a year ago and am thinking of Medellin in November. One week, maybe two and looking for a 1 bedroom apartment close to the action. I may be meeting a lady I met online, but we will see.

I am searching a variety of bulletin boards, such as WSG, but if anyone here has some first hand experience feel free to share.

I've been there twice - 2007 and 2011. Would gladly love to go again. Basically...during the day, there're lots of casas downtown which offer 1 hour service for about $25+.

At night, you can visit places like Face Dos (high end), San Diego Grill or Mayorista (low end).

Since you're new, you might want to stay at the Mansion or the VIP, who cater to guys like us. They're located in Poblado and are not far away from the subway. Mansion has weekend parties and a bunch of regulars who hang out. You *don't* want to stay downtown because it can get seriously scary down there at night.

Isg's forum is active and fairly detailed. Addresses of casas on a map, restaurants, etc.
