Actually, pontiac finally got their act together regarding to styling and yes folks, they built a REAR wheel drive sports car. But as always with GM, they pooped out on the performance. Come on, a 4 cyl? sheesh....
We can only hope they're treating this like BMW did with the M3 and the way they handled the fiero, adding a 6 in the next or future model year.....

I actually like 4 cylinders cause they are light. If matched well in a good chasis, 4 bangers are quite formidable and fun to drive a la Miata. I also love revving a 4 banger close to redline which is usually, for most Japanese engines above 6500 RPM and in high performance engines such as the one in the RSX Type-S can be revved close to 8000 RPMs!!! Solstice starts out at 26k (can) and with a bunch of options it works out to around 33k
I hear there is a turbo version in the works that puts out 250 hp but that probably won't be out till 2007
