It's getting tough for Linsanity, he gets benched during the decisive minutes of the game when the Rockets know they need someone reliable to help them close out a game. Will this guy even be in the NBA next year?
I'd take a risk on him as a third string back up and seee if more practice time helps him tighten up his turnover problem. But it would also have to be the right price.

Despite the disparity between contract and performance for Lin, the Rockets still have a better record than the Raps at 5 and 7 LOL

Can we throw in the Suns . The Suns and Rockets both did a roster make over this summer and both have more wins then the Raptors ... Colengelo did many moves this summer but Bargs is still here ... The Bucks weren't afraid of trading their number 1 overall pic last year ..

Rockets beat Knicks by 28!

But yes add those two teams as ones that made changes and doing better than the Raps.

cut the kid a slack... I mean there is no doubt he's targeted on the court and challenged more because of his colour. Everytime he has the ball, I'm sure the opponent thinks he needs to get him not so much because he has possession of the ball but more because its 'hey.. its Jeremy Lin.. that Chinese dude who got overpaid and all the hype.. i must shut him down' as opposed to some regular black joe who has the ball where the need to get the ball from him is much different

Just the fact that we're talking in this thread about Linsanity, about how he sucks, how he is overpaid, blah blah shows the amount of profiling that goes on. There are tons of players who get paid more than they should, probably do worse than Linsanity but barely gets talked about.

only 3 teams are not doing better than the raps and they already lost to one of them.
Oh come on even the Bulls lost to the Raptors in the Jordan era. That's not to say that the Rockets are anywhere at that level but the point is that the measure of a team is not based on an individual loss.

Big picture. Rockets are 1 game out of 500. Raps are 8 games out of 500.

I think we must have read the same article. I saw something like that as well..... and while it makes sense to a certain degree, are you telling me that guys don't try their best in the playoffs against Lebron? Sure they are trying their best against Lebron. The difference is that LJ is of the quality that even if you try your best he will still perform. Lin is not of that calibre.

I still believe that there is something within Lin as during his meteoric rise he put up solid numbers (except for turnovers)..... yet this year has not been able to do that. But maybe it was a fluke.... give enough avg players a chance one of them will string together an impressive set of games. But I prefer to think that it's not just random chance.

If you were in need of a PG and Lin was an option and one of the few options..... he would look pretty good.

The market dictated the price. The rockets knew they had to outbid the Knicks (although it's questionable whether or not the Knicks had any real intentions of keeping him..... with Kidd and Felton being picked up_

Sitting at 8-8...... depending on how you look at it wouldn't mind that problem (as a raps fan)
