Out being curious
try a brioni suit....not sure where to get one...maybe holt or harry...but I agree with the general consensus..get a tailor to fit u right...

And you cant really look any sharper than Mr. Bond can you?! (in the recent bond films...brioni suits are his suit of choice)

Even the chinese are dropping 2-3,000.00 for an italian suit...Zegna's largest market now is China. I watch italian news, and I have to say that the presenters always wear impeccably tailored jackets. It makes a big difference when your clothes fit you right.

I've got two of Lou Myle's creations, so I'd have say go that route. He's a bit expensive, but he's a great tailor.

If you want to look sharp in a suit, get it custom made by a good tailor and don't fall for all those high end fashion names, they're great marketers. Off the rack suits never worked for me, although they look good, they never look great.

Personally, I still like Lou Myles, now owns a factory with a front end store in Concord. He used to own a store on Yonge St., downtown, but many years ago sold out and moved up north. Lou is world renown and was well known for making suits for the rich and famous including Frank Sinatra, Muhammad Ali, etc...., he still the tailor of choice for many famous people and makes a lot of private label suits for high end brands. He will also make you a custom suit, cost in the thousands and he's still a great tailor, even at his age.

I bought a few Lou Myles suits through another retailer on St. Clair Ave. back in the day. They were astounding suits. I know about that former store on Yonge St., but I thought he always had some kind of factory.

Anyways, another one of his famous clients was Telly Savalas. At the time, the ones I bought were $400 to $600 a piece.

Try Stavros on Cumberland d/town. Go in, see him and talk to him. It all depends on what you call expensive. Check his web site to get an idea.

If you want expensive suits and make you look even more expensive, ALWAYS get bespoke suits. You can get whatever fabric & style you want, and the most important thing, it fits you, because it's custom-made for you. Guarantee they will be much better than any Boss, Zegna, Hermes made-to-measure suits.

Try:
- Isaac Ely http://isaacely.com/
- Trend Custom Tailors http://www.trendtailors.com/
- Stavros http://www.stavrostailorandshirtmaker.com/
- Walter Beauchamp 145 Wellington St. West http://www.walterbeauchamp.com/
These guys also offer bespoke shirts and pants too.

If you want some cheaper bespoke shirts, but still look great nonetheless, check out: http://www.shirtsmyway.com/ (everything is done online, you'll have to know your measurements, etc).
