Anyone know where to get a watch appraised?

I have a Bulgari watch from my grandfather who passed. I need money for school and I wonder if anyone knows where I can get a watch appraised and maybe sell it if it can help me with tuition.

The appraisal value is never equal to the market value. Like diamonds the market value is usually one third of the appraisal value. You can google the watch to get an approximate value.

Right now it would be nice to get some cash, I am sure. Ten years from now, you will regret having done so.

There is much greater sentimental value in that watch than there is cash value... even f you are in need.

But, if you want to get a rough idea of resale or trade in value, join a watch forum, post a thread and ask for input. I frequent rolexforums.com.

I wouldn't get my hopes up. Bulgari isn't known for quality watches. It makes jewellery and sells high fashion; it markets watches with stock Swiss movements. But, it has offered some truly exceptional pieces in the past. Maybe you have one of their masterpieces.

A few things could happen, usually not to your favor. Appraisers are always trying to get their hands on your treasures so they can sell it for major profits. Your best bet might be just trying to sell it online yourself.

What could happen is it might also be a fake piece and worth like $5. xD

also with the presence of the internet, you can easily google your watch type/model and see how much its going for, whether thousands of them were produced etc.
