Anyone know how to tell if there is a private investigator after you?

If the P.I. is any good, you won't even know he's there. A P.I. firm will change up the PI's watching you as well as their vehicles, and conduct mobile surveillance with more than one vehicle. And unlike TV, they won't be the car directly behind you. Used to love how Crockett and Tubbs could follow behind right the bad guys on Miami Vice in their Daytona and no one would notice.
LOL But if you do think someone is following behind you, make 4 consecutive right turns. You'll make a loop and end up back where you started - if that car is still behind you then you know.
Or pull into a warehouse parking lot ... park for a minute. The drive back out the same way you came from. If there's anyone following you, they'll need to do a 180 to follow you.
Only works if it is a single car following you. If they are using multiple cars its not that easy. While one car is behind you a few cars back on the street, the other car can be driving parallel to you on another street completely out of your sight. They are also going to drive common cars. How many silver vans will you see on a 10 minute drive down the DVP?
Not sure if you have a way to check her Financials but this won't be cheap so a fairly large transaction would have to be recorded. Even a large cash withdrawal.
You can also check any Internet device history for searches for this and divorce lawyers.
In the end it will probably be easier to find her mistakes than a pros.
Beyond that don't hobby or do anything bad for the next month or so. Eventually her money will run out. Build in plausible stops that could account for your hobby time. Perhaps a stop at a hobby shop or even a bar for a cocktail. Make them regular stops.

As stated above, unless they are useless PI's, then you won't know they are there. That being said, if you both use a common computer in the home, stop. She would have downloaded spyware in that computer, in order to gain access to what you've been up to with ability to access those sites like TERB. Use your own computer that is password protected.

I remember seeing a PI lady being interviewed, and one thing she often did was follow a guy into bar, stand with her partner on the other side of the bar and pose for a picture, making sure the real subject was within the picture. She also said another time she following a guy when eventually he pulled over, got out of his car and came over to her. Evidentally, he said to her something like I know what you're doing, and stop already.
Easy way to tell if someone is following you - get on the highway and drive very VERY fast. If anyone keeps up (and doesn't pull you over) - they are following you.

I think the best way is to observe her attitude. Does she appear really cool, and willing to overlook your previous mistakes she would pick you on. Does she treat you different. If so ask yourself when did it change. Is it inline when you felt you were being investigate. Start paying attention to your surrounding lay low and be smart with your next moves. Don't show her you are monitoring her behavior. If after 3-6months nothing has changed they you know you're being paranoid and maybe you should be asking if your mind is starting to deteriorate and maybe put in safety measures from allowing your mind to start destroying your relationships. Always look at everything from 3 perspectives, yours theirs and the truth. A lot of times it is our deficiency and we project it onto others. We are too proud or too high of an ego to admit that anything can be wrong with us. By the time we realize it is us it is too late. Never leave any stone unturned even your own. Another option is maybe she is having an affair. Maybe she has had enough with you and is trying to give you and/or her reason to systematically create an out strategy.

It can work, unless there's more than one car. Best way is to hire PI to check for active investigation. Easiest way to see if anybody is following you is on foot. Pick a half houre route, completely sensible one. Make sure there are at least to stops inside- stay away from the windows to force the tail inside. The route should have three or four vantage points like escalators or enclosed stairways. Make sure the route leads somewhere and pay attention. Just don't look around except at the stops and vantage points. It should not take more than two-three days to pick out Waldo.
