Well I live in Sydney so I can speak with some authority.

There are a number of options, brothels are legal and regulated, there are also agencies (in theory an agency can't have an incall but in practice its a bit different) and there are quite a few independents.

I think the situation is similar in NZ, possibly slightly better.
