The only way a risk occurs is if one party has the virus, either the client or the SP. There has always been a risk of HIV transmission from the hobby. The V in HIV stands for virus. How many of us have has BBBJ's? So why is Corona virus worse?

Maybe you guys would be well served to start challenging some of the things the medical community is wanting everyone to believe. For instance, this flatten the curve bullshit. The ER has no medication to help with Corona. So if tons of people present in he ER with respiratory distress, and they need ventilators, is a ventilator going to bring that person back from the brink? Where are the stats to show ventilators make all the difference? Presumably most of the deaths were people already on ventilators.

For the record though, I haven't hobbied in about 2 months. I had an appointment on the day TP shut down their operations with someone who had been on my To Do List, so that aborted appointment by TP really hurt, but nevertheless.

What I heard on radio 680 yesterday is that, if you have to go on a ventilator because of Covid-19, your chances of coming off it are only 20%, and the longer you're on it the worse it gets.

If I have to go in the first thing I do is sign a DNR order. Mind you I'm pretty fucking old anyways, so no heroic measures are required or desired.

A ventilator is the only thing that will give you a chance of survival. Will they save everyone, no. Will they save some, yes. How many remains to be seen. One thing is for sure, if you need to be on a ventilator and there isn't one available, you're most certainly going to die.

Ontario just ordered an additional 10,000 ventilators. Let's hope their estimates are way off and they won't need anywhere that many. But that gives you an idea of just how bad things could get.

Those stats will become available. If ventilators weren't helping to give some a fighting chance, they wouldn't be using them.
