Anyone had success with Lavalife?

Whether it be in the dating or intimate relationship categories, it seems like it's a pretty slow and tedious process to meet someone.

I've only tried it for a few weeks now and haven't had the response I was hoping for (man, these ladies are quite cold).

I agree, so many women on that service are cold. I did meet someone with whom I had a 6 month relationship. She was in another town - 250km away.It took 3 months of emails & phone calls, but well worth it.
I met a local woman just for sex as well ( after #1 ended).

Being single, i have used lavalife in the past, and may or may not try it again.

Generally, the website is inhabibited by some real pieces of work.

The odds of finding a girlfriend on lavalife are slim to zero.

I am sure there are some decent women on there, but...

For those that had problems at lavalife.....just what is it you were looking for there. I personally have found it a great place to get laid and have tried to keep it quiet...lol.......actually I figured no one would believe the luck I am having there.......it is just a different approach to things as opposed to escorts or mp's. it is not always immediate and sometimes it is actually very inexpensive.......and you do get the gfe...but you don't always know if the other person is qsycho or not.

I did the same thing as johnyboy.

I cropped a clean photo of a babe from a website and made up a stupid ad.

First i placed it in the intimate encounters section. Within 30 minutes, i was buried under hundreds of instant messages. (no word of a lie.)

Almost the same response in relationships.

Though i did also notice that after about half an hour the number of messages fell way off. Either gus got pissed that i was't messaging them back or i was too far down the list.

The other thing i noticed that i would log off (my fake chick) and yet, when i would log on the system with my regular ID, fake chick was still there for as much as an hour later.

Obviously, they want the guys to think there are scads of women on there and there are not.

This to me is quite the little scam set up they have programmed into their software on purpose i am sure.

I didn't really think about searching for MILF's. I tend to avoid them, but hey, that's a cool strategy to get laid.

This doesn't surprise me. Years ago before they changed their name I tried their phone setup.

Two weird things:

1. They had staff monitoring calls (as in listening to them).

2. I think that they had women leave bogus messages in order to ensure the highest burn rate of paid time.

While I might appear paranoid, there were a number of incidents that led me to believe these things.

Obviously it works for some people but the signal to noise ratio seems too low to me.
