The ALARMING fucking sound startles me every time, and the message often is useless. In this case, there were no details, and the link to the OPP got stuck, stuck, stuck.... FFS, they can;t even prepare their system for people to actually check it out.

Got it coming outta Tims ...Amber alert was so vague what was the point? And why does it matter that the shooter is driving a stolen car when they gave no discripition of the car?!
So not to downplay this but its an existing criminal running from arrest. He probably wasn't looking to kill people but get away.
But I consider an active shooter to be someone who has lost it and is shooting up innocents in a public setting. School, workplace etc. Some who is out to kill until they are dead or out of ammo.
So I don't consider this a USA style problem in that sense.
The more recent spate of carjackinging and other violent robbery incidents is far more concerning to me at this time.

Surprising that the cop haters aren't celebrating the news of a dead cop. Probably just another a-hole white cop anyway.
Reminds me of the way General Population inmates in jail react when they hear news of a cop being killed on the TV... instant cheers, smiles, verbal imitation of gunfire, and laughter ensues.
