So, as the title states, I got dick problems.

Emberassing as fuck, but it's not like there's a complete lack of erections, but they're somewhat soft and don't last as long as they should (even with sildenafil). Based on absolutely nothin besides my own research I'm guessing I have a Venous Leak http://www.webmd.com/erectile-dysfunction/guide/vascular-disease-ed#1.

Makes my sex life difficult. Think it's still worth going to see a provider?

Has anyone had ED and had the problem fixed?

Thoughts? Opinions?

Sorry to hear about your ED. The first thing you should do is see your doctor. He can refer you to a specialist. Hope you get it sorted out.

Are you overweight? Do you smoke?

There may be some underlying issues compounding the problem...
work stress
Private life stress

Evaluate some of the external issues and it may just be something you can correct easily...but I do agree with going to the doctor..

@gameboy27

Yeah I saw my doctor, he has no idea and I've been waiting on a urologist appointment for a while now.

@261252

Is that just like, an FAQ website or something? Not sure how calling them will help solve my problem

Yeah, I honestly hope it's just stress related so I don't have to end up getting surgery or something haha :grey:

I had trouble a few years ago even with Viagra. What really worked for me was weight loss. After losing about 30 pounds things really improved.

That's why I asked the OP if he was overweight and/or smokes.

So long as you can still ejaculate from receiving a BJ or
HJ I don't see why you have to refrain from the hobby.
And you don't need an erection to please your partner
if you are good with your tongue.

I have 'huge' erection issues. My fucking dick keeps getting hard and controls my every thought, desire, emotion, want and actions so much that I end up blowing all my free money on MPAs...little bugger just want some attention and has figured how to manipulate the ladies with a wink or two. I am so fucked it's not even funny. We should start another club on here in support of bothers with similar issues. Don't judge, you don't know what it's like to keep getting hard at the sight of a fine ass.

what about your sleeping habits? I used to have erection problems for 3 years. i used to go bed at 12 am sometimes 1am waking up about 8am. during the days i feel tired and sleepy. i visited a walking clinic, did some blood test and my tests are normal tried viagra, prostate massage etc. In February i find out that going to bed late at nights and sleep deprivation is causing my erection problems. my erections have improved since i start going to bed 9PM and no later than 10:30 pm. i also take L-Arginine suppliments

Sleepless Side Effect: POOR SEX DRIVE
Too little sleep may leave you soft in the head (that's right--your favorite head). "Sleep deprivation can increase your risk of erectile dysfunction," says Jon L. Pryor, a professor of urologic surgery at the University of Minnesota. That's because testosterone levels plummet when you don't get enough sleep, making it much tougher to get and sustain an erection. But you may be too tired to care, since low T also triggers a drop in men's desire for sex.

Sleep It Off: There's nothing like a rigorous romp in the sack to put you into a deep doze. Approximately 90 minutes after blissfully passing out, most men arrive in REM (rapid eye movement) sleep. That's the dream state in which erections naturally occur--up to five times a night, when you sleep long and well enough. And why should you care about sleep-induced arousals? Use it or lose it, friend. Think of each erection as a sexual chinup: Every time your penis rises, it becomes stronger and less vulnerable to impotence. So strong that you'll sport wood whether you're dreaming of Elisha Cuthbert or Dame Judi Dench.

Not for everyone. Almost every night I stay up between 1am and 4am and wake up between 6-7am with no issues. Only time he gets soft is if the girl feels so fake, moans like cheezy pornstar or says something to mess me up with the thoughts. It's always mental for me and never physical. Sometimes I get hard just thinking about my fave MPA.

I find eating lots of nuts, exercises and lots of vegetables beans and all the other healthy stuff makes me more horny and my erections gets harder and longer. what better motivation do I need?

People with erectile dysfunction tend to have much higher rates of coronary heart disease than the broader population and they have no clue about having any kind of heart problem till they're in the middle of a heart attack.

Maybe you should ask your doctor to set you up for an angiogram, ie an xray of the heart to provide pictures of the arteries and vessels that supply blood to the heart. Knowing the state of your ticker is a useful piece of information to have if you have erectile dysfunction.

Knock on wood, I don't have any problems getting solid wood and maintaining it.

But I do have the following issues that I've noticed:

1. Lower libido than in the past. I'm just not as horny as I used to be. (Maybe that's a good thing as I used to be ruled by the little head.) It takes more to get my attention now. For example, a friend asked me to go to a strip joint, and I pass preferring instead to go home, save my money and get some sleep. For example, a lady friend comes over and wants to have sex and I need something a lot more kinky that just vanilla sex to peak my interest. (I still like kinky shit, but more and more I need it to get in the mood.) Just playing with titties? Doesn't do it any more for me (i.e. get me interested.)

2. Can't cum. I can have intercourse for an hour and not ejaculate. (Usually I get bored after 15 minutes or so and just stop.) I need some very specific stimulation to cum. Believe it or not, hand jobs accompanied by extremely kinky and dirty talk from a woman works real good. Just plain old loving intercourse? Not so much. I definitely need a lot more mental stimulation than I did in the past. Before it was just the thought of getting naked in bed with a woman caught my interest. I'd say 50% of the time, just plain intercourse will not be enough to make me cum. In fact, even then, in my head, I'm rolling around some wild scenario.

3. A woman rubbing and caressing my penis does not produce the same sense of immediate thrill and interest on my part like it used to.

It's all very disconcerting.

Males hit their sexual peak at age 18. By the time you are in your 40's the decline is steady. Could be simply the "aging effect", same reason why NHL players retire at 35.

Right, I didn't respond to that...no I'm not overweight nor do I smoke.

Good idea, I've got another doctors appointment coming up soon so I'll ask about an angiogram

The doctors and staff in this clinic are specialists in this area of medicine. It's way better than going to see your family doctor, because s/he is not a specialist in erectile dysfunction. The clinic charges a one-time fee of about $350, then you get unlimited visits. They've seen all the different causes of erectile dysfunction before and will be able to help you with yours. Most likely, you just need to take some Cialis (basically a newer and better Viagra) before you have sex, and your problems will be gone.

Yes. Being overweight also affected me significantly. I lost the weight and things are back to normal. Major improvement.

I've had erection problems--I'm in my 40s; and I agree with the advice above about fitness and especially getting more sleep. But since you are fit and in your 30's let me chime in with another possible cause.....

In my case, embarrasing to admit, the other causal factor was porn--- internet porn, which, turns out, is like porn on 'crack'.

I'm no puritan, I enjoyed porn mags and dvds growing up, with no erection problems, so at first I didn't accept that intrnet porn was any different....
But then read some research showing that the instantly accessible novelty of having all those tabs open can really do a number on the chemistry in the male brain. TEDx talk: 'the Great Porn Experiment' explained how dopamine 'saturation' in the brain results from the super-increased novelty of internet porn; this in turn can result in Erectile Dysfunction--which is now quite common among 20-30yr old guys because internet porn affects the brain differently than playboy magazine and dvds did for us older gents. The dopamine saturation can also disrupt sleep and 'normal' pleasure response in non-sexual activities, leading to increased depression.
The website 'yourbrainonporn.com' explains this new phenomenon in detail without any moralistic judgementalism.
Solution? Going 'cold turkey' --a complete avoidance of internet porn, to let the brain's dopamine receptors reset to normal levels.... took me 8wks, then my normal erections (like 5 yrs ago) returned.
I kept thinking I could have a lil bit of pornhub, but for me at least, even a little bit changed my heart rate and sleep pattern (and erection strength for intercorse), so i had to go completely off it.
There's an online site where guys talk about their efforts to deal with this: yourbrainrebalanced.com.

Hopefully this is not the issue for you; but I post this in case it is for other guys.
