I downloaded the app two hours ago and submitted my email for the queue. Still nothin. Damn I miss bbm. I don't use twitter and Facebook is too public.

Still nothing. I've been getting bbm invites through the night. I've figured out that most of them are on Android. Apparently there's a work-around on Android. There was a loophole in iOS but that was shut down last night. Dammit.

FB messenger isn't public, but it's not the same in terms of status messages and posting pics. Whatsapp is not reliable. I've had many glitches with sending and receiving messages. If BB didn't screw the pooch with its BB10 rollout and mediocre handsets, I would have stuck with them. They made solid handsets back in the day. If the Z30 is good, I'll pick one of those up for work. I'm hoping for a hail mary play by BB but I'm not giving them a free pass.....

I signed up this time yesterday just for the heck of it and have yet to get an email. I use Google chat/hangouts as it works well on the pc, Android and IOS and most people have 2 out of 3 of those. Free phone calls from the tablet is pretty cool too.

I'm not if I have any friends left on Blackberry - why is BBM necessary ?

I still have a handful of friends who still use BBM. But, more interestingly, my facebook is exploding with non-BB friends bragging about getting back onto BBM. It's a great platform.

They should have charged for the app (for peeps who do not have a Blackberry phone)
Five years ago they could have and should have, and they would have sewn up the messaging market and made fantastic money.

Now they are just another entrant in a crowded market.

TeasePlease, I'm not sure what to do next. Still clinging on to my Torch. My bro told me that Android doesn't indicate a failed email like BB or Apple does.

My nephew last month told me that BBM was available earlier if you changed your country of origin to Australia (kids know all the tricks).

Should I hope for a Hail Mary play by BB and get the Q10 (an executive likes it, especially the 'hub' feature). I still prefer the BB keyboard (not that touch screen sensitive shit but I guess I'd get used to it).
