Hey everyone!

This thread was just brought to my attention so I thought I would address these valid concerns and points.

Yes, every now and then ladies cancel their shifts last minute, no show or have to leave unexpectedly during their shift and we are left to handle these situations the best we can, carefully, discretely based on the circumstances and information we have at the time. Sometimes we have zero way to contact the client except to be the barer of bad news upon arrival!

We do have a few preventable features such as the cancellation feature (if you have in putted your email into your profile on the booking system), we encourage same day confirmation if appointments were booked in advance.

As a few have mentioned, this is not a CMJ problem, it happens everywhere and I would argue at the same rate as it happens at CMJ. However, it is part of our policy to compensate the client for their time wasted and if they choose not to stay a discount of up to $50 is given.

We are a very busy spa and we have experienced growing pains - we are not perfect, nor are we able to operate at 100%, 100% of the time! Though we try our best and have dedicated our hearts and souls into this business we make mistakes! I'm the first to admit faults and to go above and beyond to make it up! However, communication is key andif something isn't brought to our attention, then we aren't given an opportunity to address it!

Ottawa is blessed to have many amazing and great spas - we have never expressed or felt that we are "the best" as it's nearly impossible to measure or quantify what makes one the "best" as there are so many factors! Just like restaurants or hotels - how do you decide which one is "the best"? All I know is our dedication has been to customer service, amazing women, clean and always improving our facilities through upgrades, renovations and expansion! We have grown substantially so we must be doing things right!

And to the person who mentioned that we probably don't care about a few disgruntled clients; you must not know me because that is the furthest thing from the truth! I'm happy to discuss any concerns or suggestions with anyone and have quite often given out my personal phone number or email address so that I can personally take care of any issues that a client has experienced!

I love my business and would encourage anyone who lost faith in us to contact me so that we can make it up to you!

I have always had a good time at CMJ, had maybe 1 cancellation. I had 1 time my girl was double booked but i texted to confirm before so didn't lose my time if i recall, if i did i didn't make a fuss because i am not a member and i understand that they may have precedence. And truth be told, i was offered to see another girl at a small discount which i politely turned down. In any event, CMJ have always been on par, with clean rooms, shower with hot water and clean towels. I experienced another spa that showed much less regard for me as a client so as far as i'm concerned CMJ is my place to go when i feel i need a refresher. Thanks to management for providing a pleasing environment and beautiful ladies and thank you for providing a meaningful answer to us boys.

Girls are human, shit happens at the last minute, you can't always predict how things will turn out, even less so if you are trying to manage different locations with dozens of employees.

I thought this was happening to me last week as I arranged an hour appointment with Olivia. I showed up was put in a room and started to get undressed. Than the person at the desk said she only had a half hour available. I'm not happy because I told her in a text an hour so I left. However it turns out I was a compete idiot. I originally texted someone else at another spa and didn't hear back. So I texted Olivia and within a minute I get a text. It was from my original text not Olivia. After I left CMJ and got in the car I received another text from the actual MA I booked. Man did i feel stupid. I wanted to message CMJ to apologize but I was rushing to the other MA. Stupid stupid stupid

To be fair, I did not check but the lady who broke the news to me told me that I should have received and email so I checked afterwards and no email. Also, i was not offered and discount though i would not have expected that and was frustrated with this happening yet again so I likely would have left.

I don't doubt that this happens elsewhere but for me, it only has happened at CMJ and out of the places I attend, CMJ is the 4th on the list in terms of frequency.

Are you not getting cancellation emails or any emails at all? (Confirmation of bookings etc)
If you aren't getting any then your email must be wrong or you may not have enabled the feature. Please call to have this rectified.

Also for the discount, have you been back since? It's usually applied as a credit for your next booking. Please call and provide your member ID and I can pull up your profile!

Agreed, it's only happened to me at CMJ as well (some time ago). Having said this, I frequent CMJ more then any other spa. I was never offered a discount either, I was offered to see another girl however. I did not do so because I don't like going to see a hostess I've never talked to.

I've had four cancellations, in 2017, & only the last one was I notified. Two of the three, I noticed their names had been removed from the schedule, which I checked just before I left for the session. I'm glad I did for one as it was in the East - a 45min drive for me. The third one, I arrived in the west only to learn the hostess had cancelled her day (several hours earlier). While I ended up enjoying my time with Karrissa - no future discount was suggested (just an extra stamp on my loyalty card). In all three, no notification came from CMJ. As a result, I will not see these three hostesses.

The fourth one - the most recent - was for a 15min intro. The weather was bad (snowstorm) & the hostess left early -- but I was notified. The receptionist actually emailed me. I hope this is a sign that CMJ is working to improve. I understand hostesses need to cancel but not to be notified is unacceptable - especially how quickly I receive the booking confirmations.

i've had 1 cancellation happen to me from CMJ, and it was the hostess that contacted me through twitter to say that she wasn't feeling well, and wasn't going to make it in. she contacted me early in the morning to give me plenty of notice, so i totally respect that.

other than that, i've never had a cancellation or a hostess no show.

CMJ is by FAR the best spa in Ottawa

I admire your enthusiasm but my experience was not as good with them and they never even tried to make it right. So I've avoided ever since.

I wonder if it's the same MA. :p

Taking into account that I'm not a member, and always booked as guest, thru club or MA herself.

A regular who I've seen around 20 times, flaked on me once over a year ago. I arrived and found out she was gone from another MA (East location).
Recently, I had two bookings I made with her where she left early but she did notify me a few hours ahead that she didn't want to stay.

It's all good with me tho.
