Why would you worry about what a woman you don't know and who has no influence over your life or happiness thinks? Live your life for yourself. Do you really have any interest in a woman who would define you by your job?
Well, homeless people and addicts live their lives for themselves and how is that working out for them?

If privatized then one can apply to be unionized all that's needed is 51% VOTE pretty simple
I believe the law mandates the union cannot be dissolved unless voted on (not sure) but there are dirty tatics

The company can split the union by having more than one thus weakening them

There will be a period of open shop where the company can attack

The trouble with garbage strikes is they can last for some time before health concerns mandate back to work

Right... like ANY company with any brains behind the wheel would ever allow that to happen... There are NUMEROUS ways to kill that shit in its tracks... Workers contribute labor... employers decide what it's worth & if the worker don't like it they can go find someone who will pay that they think theyre worth....... it's pretty simple
Not so simple

The immigration laws are set by capitalistic pigs to ensure there are more workers than needed thus forcing down wages while the rich get richer

What is your height??? Most women if you got the height & SOME cash you are goooood to go! :)
Still pining for attention huh?

Once again you want to make all topics about you and your lack of height.
Lets start a topic about you and your lack of personality. That way you can have your very own thread about how usless you are and you can post as much as you like without interuption. Then I will know to stay away.

I hate reading threads that I am interested in only to find you posting your drivel.
Post something relevant to the topic without crying about your own short-comings. Enough of the height thing!!! Get over it or end it all.

You are the most pathetic, useless fuck in Ontario if not Canada.

Back to topic...............

Like another poster said........... if she is really put off by what you do then maybe she is not the right one for you. A firend of mine is with the city as a garbage collector and he makes a hell of a lot more than I do even though I'm in a skilled trade and spent 4 years in school to get that liscence. If it pays your bills and allows you to have fun on the side and make some goals a reality....... then go for it.

All garbagemen are drivers, do you have a DZ, they drive one day throw the next, so nobodies boots got them a drivers job. The hours are good. They do 2 loads a day, usually done around lunchtime. Back when i worked for the region some guys would always say how they never missed The Flintstones or Leave It To Beaver, which was on i believe at 12:30. Its a good job if you're in need of one. Your outdoors there`s no boss around and occassionally people leave a Scarborough Suitcase at the curb if you take something your not supposed to for them.

The chicks were literally throwing themselves at him.
Hopefully he catches them before they end up in the back of the truck...

I must confess that I have never asked my garbage dudes whether they are getting "any" or not. Around these parts, we use private contractors. My guess is they're making about $12 an hour... and they appear to be pretty "down and out" types.

Before the OP gets too excited about his potential new career, he might pause to consider that of all the "city jobs", garbage collection is the one most likely to eventually be out-sourced.

Let's face it, being a sanitation engineer isn't like being a rocket scientist.... close, but not quite.

I am sure it's more than $12, more like $30- $35/ hour when you factor in benefits and overtime.

Probably includes sick pay which they get if they take no sick days

The strike means new workers get no sick days I believe

Private companies only hire drivers, the throwers are temps and get no benefits, so $12 is pretty accurate.

I can't for the life of me see how WM could have allowed itself to fall into that trap... Poor management... allowing a union is a cancer waiting to matasticize.... & it's a shame because unlike biological cancer... unions are %100 preventable

I don't buy this... so what if there's a glut of labor???

There are lots of opportunities to earn a lot of money in this world... If someone can't do that it's due to their on inability to overcome obstacles so they should simply get used to being paid wages paid to the interchangeable expendable masses...

Life isn't fair & the idea that it can be made fair by force of union extortion or government wealth distribution schemes is a fools game that only serves to drag everyone down.

If the "average guy" really want to protect his livelihood at the level that he has become accustomed he should organize to REMOVE THE EXCESS IMMIGRANTS.... They seem to have no problems demonstrating & causing havoc to rally against private economic adversaries... WHY not do the same thing against the public ones??????

Do tell? Given the number of unions around I question your statement that they are 100% preventable - unless you are talking using illegal means I suppose.

On the other hand, workers get killed on the job more often in commie countries (see coal miners in the PRC).
