was thinking of getting an account with them, anybody have experiences with them. How do their rates and other fees compare with other companies?

As far as big banks go they're among the best. If you have a LOT (a few hundred K) of money to invest they have very competitive rates (ask them for a special deal). Not so great if you just have a few grand, but not bad either.

In this market a good broker is probably worth more than the slight difference in rates between bokerages. If you find a knowledgeable guy you have confidence in,open the account.

i use the following and my weighting:

Qtrade 50%
TD Waterhouse 35%
Questrade 15%

I'm happy with all 3.

I've tried E*Northern, E*Trade, Ameritrade, BMO InvestorLine, Credential Direct and none compare to the top 3.
