Your antivirus dosen't remove it? You might need a trojan remover........

A quick google search on "boot.exe" provided several suggested removal methods including spyware doctor (free).

Norton and Avast also claim to remove it. What AV program are you using?
i got the windows defender and spybot and i tried a free scan too. it just doesn't find it at all. the only way i found out i got the boot.exe is when i tried to take out my thumb drive and it said cant find boot.exe when i closed that, the computer ran better. but it keeps coming back.

No AV on your computer at all? Did you run the on-line scan with the thumb drive installed?

Kaspersky offers perhaps one of the best on-line scanners: http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner It's slow but good.

I suggest you then download and install Avast! (one I use) or AVG. Both are free and bother are very good. Avast will run a detailed scan as part of the install.

Sorry, can't offer more advice than that. Good luck Pete!
thanks. i hate computers! :)
