Yes, I was going to comment on FlaPenna‘s photo which is not typical. Most are as you have described here - a flat, perhaps slightly inclined for drainage, table with a raised border, and recessed gutter for the water around the perimeter, all water proofed, and a hand held shower head that the attendant uses. By the time she finishes washing the boys, I’m ready.

The ones in Toronto that I've experienced are like the one in the photo. Lovely experience.

I was able to try one about a year ago. Had it after the massage and relaxation time and it just melted it all away.
