anyone care to organize a road trip for a game, I am seriously thinking of taking in that Celtic-Liverpool match, as for a favorite for the Euro 2004, i am liking the Czech Republic at at odds of like 15-1 just as a dark horse that is way too much, anyone who is a Juve supporter can attest to Pavel Nedved's talent

Long Live Sir Alex!!!!

Somebody want to tell V. that Real have more than Beckham. :)

From a marketing point of view Real may be better off going over to the Far East to exploit the Beckham phenomena.

My heart would love to see England win Euro 2004 but my mind would have to side with the Czechs or the Portugese playing at home. And you can never forget the French.

In the EPL, I have always supported MUFC and always will. My parents were born and bred red and my dad was at the 68 European Cup final. Blame this bad season (Though they will finish 2nd or 3rd) on the loss of Rio. Prior to that they were rock solid.

Might take my dad to New York for the AC match. Can't believe that the English base in Southern Ontario didn't warrant United coming up. But playing on that Astroturf would be painful!! Better let thhose stupid Scottish and Italians get all banged up.

Where is Real Madrid in all this? Why haven't they been included?

Real, and the other club teams mentioned in this thread, have nothing to do with Euro2004. Euro2004 has to do with national teams in Europe so let's try to keep the thread on that subject Sorry V., not intended to single you out). On that note England, France, Croatia and Switzerland looks like the group of death.

i am pretty sure FIFA will not allow the game to be played on the turf and they will have to temporarily put grass in the Skydome, as all the teams have promised to have all their stars playing, i see there are no takers for an organized road trip as for Chelski hmmm dont get me started :)

Holland should win every tournament. But Germany can never be counted out. I am from England but i doubt it they will win. Croatia is a dark horse, but my money is on France.

Supersquad 68, i use to be a die hard man yoo fan in the seventies and eightes. I use to love the lou macari, gordon hill and gerry daly.

Death to Real Madrid, the new york yankees of football.

A game in the Skydome - phuii. I once went to a game between Portugal and Denmark in the Skydome.
I turned out to be a big joke, because none of the players had ever played on astroturf before. It was somewhat amusing to see some of the best players in the world miss balls, that were landing 2 feet from their positions. They played like highschool teams on the turf.
I would recommend against it, unless you go to the game for the beer and the screaming.
