Any positives you can take away from 2020?

Probably the worst year of my life, the only + is that I have more money then I have ever had...for which I do feel very grateful considering so many people are really hurting financially.

I think my lifestyle has gotten healthier since covid. More cooking and less eating out and fast food. Working from home so no commutes. Built a home gym from scratch, more time to exercise and do stuff outdoors.
I'm probably living a more healthier lifestyle too...but man, it's been dull.

Hrmm the positives....Have more money than previous years do to not spending much and making good decisions in the stock market.

WFH is amazing and probably is going to be the new norm now in many companies even after this pandemic.

there was many negatives and it had been one hell of a year.....

The first couple of months I started drinking a LOT more (there just wasn't anything to do), and I guess maybe I had my fill of it, because now I'm drinking way less than I was before the pandemic (and for the first time in decades, I'm looking forward to spending time with friends sans alcohol).

I am eating a healthier diet and reading a lot of good books, mostly history. Two things I have given up are alcohol, none in months, and television, except for some sports and the occasional movie.

I hooked up with the girl I'd been flirting with since we had more time to explore each other. I'd been looking forward to waking up with her.

Harvey Weinstein went to jail. That was music to my ears.

Watching white racist assholes swallowing the realization that they're not 'in charge'.

Orange Man is out of a job. This was the greatest news of all.

Probably one of my better earnings years, albeit somewhat stressful.
I played more golf this summer than I had the past few years.
Other than that its been pretty damn miserable.

SpaceX making huge progress towards making us multi-planetary species and protecting the long term survival of our humanity and consciousness.

It’s nice to see someone fighting this hard to protect humanity vs others that are trying so hard to destroy it.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. Many people only live to serve their needs at the expense of others and the environment and will never see the big picture because life is just all about them. You can’t progress much in environments and politics under these kind of toxic conditions.

This space exploration enables technology, jobs and innovation that will eventually help us on earth as well in the short run and long run. Example Tesla, autonomous driving, StarLink, sustainability, innovation to battery technology and sustainability. Think about what happens when they learn how to terraform Mars and build sustainable cities on the Moon for earth.

I counter. Humans are the cancer of the planet. What about the animals we are killing off at several species a day? We are just going to blast off and leave them behind in the unlivable toxic shitosphere we have created?

Ture. By this logic the planet is dying until it can’t sustain us anymore. So something will give either humanity or the earth, and it will be humanity. Earth is 4+ billion years old and it knows how to reset itself.

Hopefully they will figure out how to engineer and grow these foods in a lab due to space travel demand and ease up of the depletion of natural resources.

Maybe they figure out how to deal with the no. 1 cancer to humanity which is ideology. Imagine if we all lived based on fundamental principles of humanity, consciousness, the earth and love for all 3. This means we would condition ourselves to constantly look to give back and improve each other because we love to see our beautiful human beings succeeded and attain their potential, we love to see the earth health and flourish and we connect through our collective consciousness and attain our life purpose through being present and connections and experience with the people and our environment. There is an answer however the humanity will learn one way or another.

Unfortunately now it’s heading in the destructive path and keeps spiralling downward due to self proclaimed experts and global leaders who have all the answers such as the “Great Reset”.

As the Atlanta Rhythm Section said. "The rats keep winning the rat race" Lots of people were against the Vietnam war. Iraq war. and on and on.They went nowhere. The side of the right seems to die.
