zorro's is good, they have great garlic bread. another plus is it's across the street from mds. barberians has always been a fav of mine too.

but my new favourite is jacob's steakhouse, very nicely laid out and the steaks are excellent. and they make your caesar at your table.

1. Harbour Sixty
2. The Keg
3. Bistro 990
4. A tie between Morton's and Ruth Chris

Haven't tried Jacob's or Barbarians, but I do think Mortons is highly overrated, as is Ruth Chris's. Harbour Sixty is divine, Bistro 990 is amazing, The Keg is better and cheaper in price than Morton's and Ruth Chris's.

You have received all sorts of recommendations but unfortunately nobody responded with what you asked for. There is only one real steakhouse in Newmarket and that is Timothy's on Yonge st. There is also a Keg. I would choose Timothy's over the Keg. On the other hand I would eat at Aqua Grill or Oakland Hall in Aurora ( both off Yonge less than 10 minutes away) and order a steak there.
These options seem pretty close to where I'll be staying. I'll talk it over with my friends. I'm a little overwhelmed with the abundance of choice in the toronto area. I guess it'll come down to where I decide to go and proximity. I have nothing against the Keg, just want to try somewhere different. Thanks for the suggestions.
