If any one can help I'd appreciate it.

Is there a way to save pictures from a website , when the pictures are flashing.

it's probably using macromedia flash, when you save the picture it probably saves the .swf file if i'm not mistaken so you'll get the entire flashing image.

By the way, you probably aren't really the 10000th visitor to that website, and you haven't really won anything....

capturing images

It depends on how the image is stored. Phelan is correct that flash is a very common source of flashing images and you would only be able to capture the whole animation. There are many other possibilities including animated GIFs, java, vbscript, javascript, shockwave or other plugins, even server-side scripting languages (.asp, .php, etc.). The only way to tell is to look at the source (select "View Page Source" or something like that from your browsers "View" menu). You then may have to load subsidiary pages (by selecting them from the source). With most of these scripts you will not be able to see the actual images but with some (e.g. javascript) you might.

If the rest of the page looks like a normal, non-flash site, then most likely it is a GIF file. Just right click, save as, blahblah but make sure you put in the extension .GIF after the file name. Then spank offline till your hearts content!!

Thank-you to everyone for your help!

I guess I got lucky: I discovered that if you view the site in HTML format instead of flash format, you can save the pictures, because they are Jpegs.

Thank-you again!
