Same here. I don't worry about vids, music, games etc. I back up important documents only. I will assume the risk of loss on entertainment media. Simplest way to backup seems to be an Ext HDD. With a redundant raid array I suppose both drives would be infected by a virus.

Anyone use RAID for auto backup?

With HDDs being so cheap thought of getting two and setting them up as RAID 0 for backup till reading this.
RAID is not a good alternative to backing up data. Data may become damaged or destroyed without harm to the drive(s) on which they are stored. For example, some of the data may be overwritten by a system malfunction; a file may be damaged or deleted by user error or malice and not noticed for days or weeks; and, of course, the entire array is at risk of physical damage.
