There is only two ways to survive over there. You are either filthy rich and don't have to worry about money.

The context of the previous post does not justify your vile response. I really don't care whether you found the events "tragic" or not - its entirely irrelevant to the gist of your comment.

What possibly could be the point of stating "you weren't swaggering when you got your asses kicked" (in reference to the slaughter of thousands), other than to imply that "the bitch got what she had coming to her", tragic as that may be?

I was'nt going to even read this thread when I saw it posted but I just heard a radio program (American spelling) in Ottawa wherein virtually all of the call ins and emails regarding Martin's absurd position(??) regarding the missle defence program (American spelling) were against Martin and the gov't. That is something given this is LIBERAL Ottawa. The Liberals approach to relations with America is ridiculous and hurtful to the Average Canadian. If some of you out there want to get educated read The National Post today, front section. In there you will find facts and erudite views on what is really going on with live examples of how our quality of life is gradually being destroyed by this rabid uncontained anti-americanism. There is nothing wrong with America. There is everything wrong with the Canadian response to it. Oh yes, I am Canadian and not proud of it because it (being Canadian) has come to be synonomous with hysterical liberalism run amok.

rather than walk around with a red face, why not work to change the opinions of the people. try talking to them and not down to them as the National Post tries to do. emphasize the positive from a closer relationship with the US (there are many) rather than turn on anti-liberal vile.

That's a bold statement and impossible to agree with-you are saying America is like friggin Brigadoon or something. Please don't label me anti-american, I like most americans(and not b/c my grandparents are americans), I just don't really care for some of their foreign policies.

I have tried to talk reasonably on many occasions. Problem is the hysteria is so bad that it is impossible to get anywhere constructive. This thread is an example of that. The reason I was reluctant to even look at this thread is because we on this board have been here before. Hundreds of pages of nonsense beating up on America and narily an intelligent word.

I do not think I am perpetrating anti-liberal vile. It is just that their positions are so bad for the Average Canadian. They are in large part nonsensical. Don't be intimidated by the National POst. It is one of the best sourses of erudition in this country.
