It's the top of the 6th and the Cards have come back to tie it after being down 7-2. If the whole series goes like this it's gonna be amazing. No team is ever out of it.

BTW, Larry Walker is now 4-4 with a homer and two doubles.

Manny can breathe a HUGE sigh of relief...did anyone else find this somewhat anti-climactic? Didnt seem to have the same intensity, maybe it will as the series progresses.....

Well, Sox-Yankees have a lot of history between them that elevates the intensity. Sox-Cards is just two teams pretty much evenly matched who will play mostly close games against each other....

Nothing can beat a Sox-Yankees rivalry. People also love to hate the Yankees (and their fans) and feel for the Sox.

But St. Louis is a great baseball town and their fans are known to be respectful to opposing teams. Thus it tough to "hate" the Cardinals.

I'm looking to see the Boston fans crying in their watery beer again. It would be so much fun.

Everyone who's surprised that Game One was a slugfest, in Fenway, with weak pitching, and the two best offenses in baseball, raise your hands.

I hope this series gets better, but I'm afraid it's probably going to be more of the same. Moving to St. Loo should help, but these teams need to play better ball. That game was pretty sloppy.

After watching Game 1 its a wonder how either team made it to the World Series...

Offense, offense, offense.
(That is, with Schilling hurt, at least ......)

Anybody else think that attempted catch - or whatever it was - by Ramirez was just about the lamest think they've ever seen on a field? I killed myself laughing.
Where's the guy who said his defense had improved?
;)
LOL
Manny's dangerous with the bat, no question. Unfortunately, he's also dangerous with the glove.
