3 men found dead in vehicle in west-end Toronto
Police say victims were shot, possibly in another area
Last Updated: Sunday, July 20, 2008 | 11:07 AM ET
The bodies of three men who had been shot were discovered early Sunday inside a vehicle in a residential area of west-end Toronto, police said.

Police were called to the scene early Sunday morning. (CBC)
The gold-coloured sport utility vehicle was found on a street just south of the Queen Elizabeth Way near Browns Line, but police said it's possible the shooting took place in another area.

A 911 call was made around 3:40 a.m. ET, telling police that three people were dead inside the vehicle, one passenger in the front seat and two in the back seat.

Police said the men died of gunshot wounds and all three were "suffering from trauma" and were pronounced dead at the scene.

The ages and names of the deceased have not been released.

Toronto police Homicide Squad Det. Dean Burks said the men were shot from outside the car and a number of bullets pierced the vehicle.

Burks said police are looking for the driver.
Drug related?

When it's the criminals killing the criminals I have no problem.

It's when the Jane Creba's of the world get caught in the middle is where I think myself and most everyone else starts to have an serious problem.

I read something like 86% (a few months ago so I could be off a little) of murder victims were "well" know to police. In other words the bad guys keep killing the bad guys.

Live by the sword - die by the sword.

There are many whose passing produces a net gain for the taxpayers.

So long as the scum are killing only other scum then why stop it. they all cost us money and the fewer if them that there are the cheaper it becomes.

Doesn't make me uncomfortable when it's drug or gang-related...I know it won't be me. When there are less of them, society will be better off. But then again sometimes people get stabbed for looking at someone the wrong way, or "dissing" them. We took care of those things with our fists , or walked away, but these days they need a weapon.

Why is it that they always say "oh he was a good kid", hey I was a good kid and no one's ever stabbed or shot me.

The TPS website has pictures of the three "victims".

I'm cold hearted to a fault, some might say, but I doubt society needs to shed a tear.

Just think of the PV of the future cost stream of incarcerating these three darlings as they develop into their criminal career and you can see why this " victimless" crime is a win-win for the taxpayers.

Have to agree with Lanc's Lad, I could care less about these three. They were all well known to the cops and were all criminals.

Somebody did society a favour. Sounds cold, but it's how I feel.

Jane Creba, the Vivi Lemonis (pardon my spelling), Barbara Turnbull, John O'keefe (the guy who was walking on Yonge Street past the Brass Rail) - that's a different story. I'm truly outraged and want the most severe justice possible.

But 3 gang bangers dead, only sorry that it wasn't 300 gang bangers dead.

For those of you who've forgotten about Barbara:

That is warped thinking. Let the thugs take each other out. Society's safety is compromised when this happens no matter who the victim is.
