Who didn't rush home after practice to watch her and the rest of the wholesome girls of the mouseketers in black & white? It's okay simon i was 5 years old at the time. Come on people, be truthful. It's sad to end the way she did, not able to speak for over 10 years.

I watched the CTV profile on her recently. MS had really taken its toll on her. Fortunately, it seems that she was well cared for by her husband.

Nothing wrong with her looks here. Good Italian stock for sure. quit in her late 20's to raise a family in the valley and then just as she did a reunion movie in her early 40's, was hit with the bad news, but never let it make her fade into the background, tough broad. Bless her.

I guess some would call that becoming successful. I was thing more along the line of Justin Timberlake, Ryan Gosling, Christine Aquilera, Britney Spears, Kerri Russel, and that's just in Hollywood.
She was demure and carried herself with confidence and elegance.
That and the fact that the 50's and early 60's wanted to promote the virtues of good girls that boys would find attractive.
She was beautiful. She has the warmest eyes.
I will remember her with great fondness.

This just one of many girls that played in her movies that got my interest over Annette. Annette didn't do it for me as a kid. I was more of a 1 million BC kid. Both hit the television about the same time.

I stand corrected. Darlene was the one who committed securities fraud. Had the issue of Gallery where Doreen was wearing nothing but her mouse ears.

Always went for hot brunettes like her.
Saw her once in person in Buffalo back in the early 60s, got 20 feet from her.

Suffering from MS for almost 27 years. Wow, can't and don't want to imagine what that would be like. I'd take a Margaret Thatcher stroke at 87 over that any day. RIP Lovely girl!
It really was a nicer more innocent age. I can't think of a current star who is likely to age as well.
