This one will be the new Flagship Android in the new year

Like Galaxy S phones, the design appears to borrow heavily from the iPhone. This device, however, appears to mimic the iPhone 4, with a single button on the bottom and silver side paneling. Engadget believes it could debut as early as February, 2011. Samsung may unveil the phone at the Mobile World Congress
Hmmm! No shit. I wonder why?

...and without a visit to XEROX's PARC Apple would not have a GUI going for themselves, which EVENTUALLY led to a GUI on a handheld device.

Samsung designs leave me cold, I don't like the light thin feel of the Galaxy S phones for whatever reason though I do like the screen. I wish HTC got to do the Nexus One sequel as I do like the Desire and Desire Z. Having played with the Droid X, I found the footprint too large, 4.3" is pushing it. I think 3.5-4.0" is the sweet spot. Maybe a true 720p screen would sway me though :).

Why would you need 720p on a PHONE? lol
We didn't have any of this crap 5 years ago, let alone 10 years, but now you're wanting 720p on a phone??? lol

Heck the iphone 4 is already at 960x640 in a 3.5 inch screen so 1280x720 in a 4.3" cannot be too far off :)

Some fantastic Android phones are available, I think at this point the phones are more polished than the OS and apps available for it. Once 3.0 comes out I may tell the office to replace my blackberry but for now I'm on the fence and I'll wait to see what the next iOS and Android OS offer.
AFAIK, 3.0 is Honeycomb and will be due out sometime mid next year.

Do you mean Gingerbread which is 2.3 and is due anytime now?

Yeah I'm not expecting much of an interface change from 2.3, hopefully 3.0 dares to change things up quite a bit.

Its getting so that if you're old enough to afford one the screen is better than your eyes....

Yeah, hopefully. There's some nice things about Android's UI and some poor things. Let's see what happens.

I'm looking forward to see what Apple is planning, too. They snagged one of the main UI designers from Palm last year.

iOS needs a lot of work in how it handles notifications. Here's hoping.
