Can you clarify? I saw a presentation of IPTV and it looked great but I was not sure what the difference was between IPTV with the specific box that they sell to you and monthly fees of $10 to $20 per month vs. the Android Boxes that are being discussed above. You can stream IPTV through the android box. Yes, this is a great option as well. If you go to tvaddons.ag they provide instructions on how to download on almost any device. This site is run by the people that created KODI.You don't even need a box, you can install freetelly (kodi) on your computer and connect your computer to a TV or a large monitor.
I had to look up KODI but if I have an XBMC box, then I guess that's what I use (sorry, haven't hooked it up yet).I have a box that runs Kodi. If your a movie guy, series guy, PPV guy and can work your way around online streaming sites, this box will be a breeze for you. I picked mine up for 100. But like others have pointed out, you can do the same thing on your laptop and buy an hdmi cord to plug into your tv and it works the same way. Kodi Box is a lot smaller and more convenient imo.
Live sports is still the biggest gap. Anything that can be downloaded like a movie or TV show you can get but there's limited streaming of live sports and it's not always reliable. I believe we will see big progress in this area in the next while. You will of course have to pay a premium to stream the good stuff. How are these boxes for searching programs, live sports etc. Most of the content we watch is in HD. I do like my Rogers HD-PVR, TV guide, the ability to automatically record new programs and I can also record up to 8 programs simultaneously. How do these compare?
Or the news.Live sports is still the biggest gap. Anything that can be downloaded like a movie or TV show you can get but there's limited streaming of live sports and it's not always reliable. So the one valid remaining reason to have a cable subscription is if you watch more live sports than you could get over the air with an antenna.
I like the box too, as it comes with a remote and I like flipping channels.Yes, this is a great option as well. If you go to tvaddons.ag they provide instructions on how to download on almost any device. This site is run by the people that created KODI.
There is however a benefit with the Android box. The experience is similar to using your cable provider box. Also, they have now made KODI and app so it runs a lot smoother than just installing the program.
For international news its great, you can get all kinds of stations and languages. For local live TV its not so good, but you can get a simple antenna and catch many local stations.Or the news.
So you can get EVERY current show with an Android box too?
You can get Iptv with kodi too, you don't need a special box, you just have to pay a monthly fee. Iptv stalker is one of them.I have the same iptv box it is far better than Kodi.
