You would have lost the $10k bet. That's why you didn't take it.
Why was I so confident that he'd return to Romania to face the charges? And why were you so wrong in your judgement?
And let's be crystal clear: guilty people don't do what he just did.
Lawfare can only take one so far, especially when the world's eyes are watching.
I agree it's interesting that he went back. I don't think he's innocent. He posted 100's of times about controlling, pimping and beating women and innocent guys don't do that.
I think there's probably a deal between Romania and Trump to let Tate walk.
If I was a guy who had been held for 2 years on house arrest in Romania, the last thing I would do is go back, if there was
ANY chance at all I could be convicted of pimping. And there were women who are / were prepared to testify against the Tates in court. I would say "fuck it!" and stay in the US. Any rational dude would do the same thing - whether innocent, guilty or 50:50.
So the trial has been fixed to have the Tates acquitted or the charges officially dropped.
And why is it "lawfare"?..... Why would the Romanians give a fuck about the Tates' political beliefs? Romania's a totally different country with its own political views.
It's like saying that the Toronto cops arrested some dude from India and falsely accused him of pimping because he supported 1 Indian political party instead of another Indian political party. No one here GAF about any of that shit. So Toronto cops would never try to frame the guy and the Toronto prosecutors' department wouldn't GAF and run with the charges.
And if Romania is so corrupt as to arrest someone and frame them because of their political views in another country and hold those guys under house arrest for 2 years, wouldn't Romania also convict those guys so as not to look bad?
So the charges were legit, but there's a deal to get them dropped.
