I'm wishing for Xmas a big Maple Leaf trade for Anaheim player Bobby Ryan, this trade would be ideal for the surging Leafs. I would get rid of a few 2nd round draft picks and overrated centre Nazem Kadri and big cash money. Brian Burke should have the inside track to pull off a trick and treat for the organization and fans. Fuck, we cannot beat the Bruins and we desperately need another player like Ryan.

Now, on to the absurdity of your proposal.
You don't seem to understand trade rules in the NHL.
Teams are not allowed to include big cash money , for that matter, any kind of cash money in trade, but thanks for comin' out.
Not only that, but it would take a lot more than a few 2nd round picks & Nazem Kadri for Bobby Ryan.
Teams tend to want something that could be considered close to even value when trading a player.
I think Anaheim does it for Kadri, Schenn and a second rounder or 2. Would be a fair trade for both teams. How can you not love what Bobby Ryan would bring to the Leafs? One thing's for sure either the coach has to go or Bobby Ryan has to go.

Considered that was Burke's first signature trade, I agree that he is going nowhere anytime soon. Neither would Phaneuf.
I doubt that Anaheim seriously considered trading Ryan unless it was something so good they couldn't resist.....like Landeskog, a prospect and a draft pick or Eberle, a prospect and a draft pick (just using Colorado and Edmonton as an example)....
Selanne only has a few more years left at most and Ryan will be needed to fill in that void once Selanne retires....
