After seeing her LL ad and having enjoyed GH appointments from other providers across the country as well as seeing good reviews I decided to give Amber Meow a try while in town for business. My first attempt didn’t work out as she wasn’t available that day. She did reply to my texts much later in the day but the time she offered wasn’t realistic. (Told me at 2:08 that she could meet right then and would need to leave by 2:30 lol)
Since then I have booked on two separate occasions (my last two trips to Ottawa) via her online booking site as instructed and received an email confirmation of the appointment. Sent the requested text message to confirm and received no replies at all either time. Nothing at all. Not even to say the appointment was cancelled. Very disappointing and unprofessional.
By reading past review it sounds like she provided good service at one point but currently she is a huge waste of time.

Hi there :)

You did threaten me with this bad review, and here it is barely even a half hour later!

As I said to you in text - you never sent a deposit each time you tried booking, which it literally says on my Rates page you need to do, and you clicked the box confirming you had read my Rates page when you booked.

I ask for deposits now specifically because I have been receiving death threats saying they'll book me through my work and I work from home, which is extremely dangerous. I take my safety seriously and refuse to meet anyone new unless a deposit is sent. Something you chose not to do twice, and then wrote me a bad review because you didn't follow instructions properly.

These bad reviews lately when I'm trying my best to provide a unique service in the industry and literally doing the best I can is disheartening me to my core and convincing me it's probably time to retire.

I wish you all the best ❤

First off I did not “threaten” you with a bad review. I simply advised you that I wasn’t happy with your lack of professionalism and that my review of you would reflect that. I never made any sort of threat towards you in any way.
As for the deposit, your rates page does not say a deposit is required to confirm an appointment. It says a deposit is required to meet. Two very different things. I quite clearly asked you today if a deposit was required first and you simply didn’t reply. I would gladly have sent it if you had replied to my question. With the number of scammers out there asking for deposits why would anyone blindly send money to someone who doesn’t even reply to a text?
Perhaps you need to reword your website to make it clear that a deposit is required before you will even reply.

Honestly it doesn't sound like anything I do will make you happy, you've been pretty awful to me all around.

Sure, I'll reword my website to be clearer, my apologies.

All the best.

When it says it requires a deposit to meet, you pretty much should stop right there since that is common sense at that point. You should also realize sp's get many texts a day including ones asking repetitive questions that could be addressed while reading their site. I see your thought process involved a reply coming along to put you at ease but Amber is quite professional and has good reviews all around so at that point, you can try asking again later but never threaten an sp or try to use other means because things didn't go your way. Thats just bad karma. Better luck in the future and hopefully this becomes a learning experience.

My text to her was to confirm our appointment. It was not an out of the blue text. It was what her booking page specifically asks for. It makes no reference to needing to send a deposit to get a confirmation. In fact my second text to her today specifically asked if I needed to send the deposit first. To which she did not reply. A simple “please send the deposit to confirm” would have sufficed.
At no point did I threaten her in any way. I told her I was disappointed in her lack of professionalism on two separate occasions and that my review would reflect that. I never asked for anything else. In fact I told her that I would not attempt to book with her again. How anyone takes that as a threat is beyond me.

Lot of white knights on here, don't take it personally.

You call it white-knighting, it's kinda more just being decent and seeing me as a person?

I have no issues with someone having constructive criticism on my business or website - that's not what this guy did at all, he got very angry over my non-response.

Which, can I be honest? Really makes me feel I dodged a bullet in the end.
I've had days where I overslept and missed a whole appointment accidentally, I've had phone issues that made me miss several confirmations, and many other issues that were my fault and I wouldn't blame the men for being frustrated with me - not a single person has reacted to me the way this guy did from him just not getting a reply to me, and that says a lot to me when I only rely on my intuition as screening.

I will adjust my ads and website to be more clear and take this as a lesson learned, but OP in particular wrote this review with the intent to get back at me and negatively effect my business, and I honestly to not deserve that for mere silence.

Please show me where I was angry at any point in our conversation or in my review of you. It was strictly factual.

Why bother posting a shitty review. You had almost zero interaction with her outside of an email and a few texts and that warrants a Crappy review? This is her livelihood. She has no obligation to answer or see anyone she doesn’t want to , self employed means you get to make all decisions on who you do, or don’t want to see for whatever reason. Not like she gave you an address and you showed up and she ghosted you. Think twice before TRYING to damage someone’s reputation just because you’re butt hurt she didn’t see you and you’re annoyed. Be a better person. Don’t be that guy. You Should of just moved on to the next girl who suits your scheduling better- because clearly, you don’t suit hers. Thank you, Next!

There’s a restaurant in my small town. The only great restaurant to eat/order from near me. I often call to place pick up orders and they don’t pick up their phones. Their staff, food and service is excellent. They aren’t not answering their phones because they don’t want my business, they aren’t answering because they are overwhelmed, busy, understaffed and dealing with the the customers they have in front of them. Why on earth, would I go onto a Google review site and give them a shit review? I wouldn’t. Because I’m a decent person.

Jesus, what a dumpster fire. Amber, from the few experiences I've had with you over the years, you've been nothing but professional, communicative, patient, on point, and just generally a wonderfully warm presence to be around. I can't imagine the lens it places on yourself when others disrespect you, waste your time, and force their distorted views on you. You took a step back in a fashion to protect yourself from certain of those that would bring you down further, yet the foolishness and crass attitudes continue. Of course you know no one can recommend your course other than yourself, but regardless of what you decide, always take care of yourself first and be mindful there are significantly more of us that have very much appreciated knowing you over the years, yet I know though 100 people can be kind, sometimes just a couple can sour things quick.

Maybe it's a silly gesture but honestly...

A BIG TOAST TO AMBER, for just being an all around great gal and taking the time to attempt to temper those that may be untempered and honest genuine service.

Thank you.

Dunno breh. Amber is pretty up front w the whole deal. She seems pretty clear. If you wanna chalk it up to 'miscommunication' maybe. But the rest just seems like bs. Amber, get outside, smoke one, and go get some gelato and enjoy this glorious day. Don't waste your time on this stupid board today. It ain't worth it.

go ahead and call me a white night, ding dongs . don't give a shit.

Amber doesnt need a white knight. She can take care of this. Personally, I look for reviews where the reviewer actually saw the lady or was able to confirm that the lady is fake. Neither is the case here. Those of us who enjoy the talents of Amber know the real deal. I think that with all of the fakers around, those who get stung want to make sure we help out other terbites. But in this case, I think miscommunication is the issue and not the services.

Before I get accused of bring a white knight, know that I have not seen Amber since last year and do not intend to as long as she requires deposits. Just hate to see the legitimate ones be trashed due to miscommunication.

SP’s don’t owe you replies. Her intuition could’ve been telling her to avoid you, or maybe she was eating, sleeping, walking her dog, spending time with friends, at the hospital she’s a human with a life. You didn’t have an appointment, so she wasn’t bailing on you or being unprofessional.

She’s also allowed to ignore you. Telling from how nit picky you are with obvious instruction on her site, you’re probably really difficult and take all the fun out of your own sessions for everyone.

Rant over.
