Amazon Prime Streaming Is A Scam

Had just about of enough of paying for streaming services that release new seasons of shows that require you to pay for add ons. Absolute bullshit.

Looking to watch Yellowstone season 5 after watching seasons 1 to 4 on Prime only to be told that you would need to pay for the Paramount Plus add on through Prime.

And this isn't the only time either. Remember having to pay for Stackd TV to continue watching a new season of another show. Crave pulls this stunt as well.

I don't mind if you want to introduce new streaming services and add-ons, but to switch a show that you've already watched previous seasons on one platform to another and then charge for is just bullshit.

Amazon can stick Paramount plus and Yellowstone up their fuckin asses.

At least Netflix doesn't pull this shit.

They don’t have full rights to these. And the originating streaming services is the channel they are selling. Paramount makes Yellowstone. So it is paramount you should be paying for streaming.

Prime Video is just a little add on for having a prime membership for deliveries and shit from Amazon.

Prime video then offers channels. You can buy from these channels directly. Like AMC, paramount or stackTV which is just Bell channels without the Bell package.

BTW - Apple TV is the same. They offer a place to watch all your streaming services but you pay for those services. It is just all in one place.

When you understand that prime is just facilitating for the channels, you realize it is not Primes fault. They are not personally going after you. They are just offer free previews for the channel company. Just like a free trail for Disney Plus or even a free trail for Netflix. All the companies do free trails. Prime just does it for more channels.

In fact - the fire stick offers all these channels/apps directly with a free trail.

Crave offers different packages based on which extra channels you want as well. To get HBO up here you need Crave. Same with Stars. They have no choice but to charge you because those companies charge Crave for showing them.

But like people said - use Kodi. But don’t bitch at Prime or Crave. They are subcontracting out channels for you. You do the same with cable. Which is why there are different packages depending on how many channels you want. And channels on regular cable offer free previews for a month to help sell that channel. All the channel companies do it. It just all these channels now have streaming services they sell as well individually To companies like Apple TV and Prime or on their own apps.

Prime video is just a nice addon for the free shipping. It doesn't have too much good content without subscribing to a bunch of different channels.

Unless you watch B horror movies or indian movies, theres not too much.
