In late January, I saw an ad up in the Ottawa section by a service provider by the name of Alysson. She is from Montreal, and has had many names in the past (Alysson - Ivy Kiara - Ivy Rose - Melissa - Maxime - Maya Fox – Ivy Rose - Mlleivy - Mlle Kiara). I did some research on MERB, where she is well reviewed with positive experiences + history of good/honest business practices.
For her Ottawa tour, she wanted a $100 deposit for pre-bookings. Based on what I read in the MERB thread, there had been no prior mismanagement of pre-booking deposits in the past, and because she has an established Twitter, and overall brand – I came to the conclusion it should be safe to proceed.
So we exchanged texts where I ultimately ended up booking and sending her the $100 deposit for the pre-booking.
Fast forward 10 days, I notice that Alysson’s ad is gone in the Ottawa section. I began to get slightly worried, and so I did some searches on TERB, and found Toronto clients of hers were also inquiring about her tour/their deposits, as she also had an ad up in the Toronto section that suddenly disappeared (https://terb.cc/vbulletin/showthrea...vy-kiara-Maxime-whatever-her-name-is-Shes-hot).
Alysson/Ivy Kiara has since posted on her Twitter that apparently someone “hacked her account”, and posted the advertisement in the Toronto section.
Firstly, this fails to explain why it was also up in the Ottawa section. Secondly. I do not believe that she would not have been made aware of a false ad, supposedly posted by a hacker, when it was up for almost a full 10 days. Lastly, as shown through our text conversation, this very much sounded like the provider I was talking to as they knew what I was referring to when I made reference to specific posts in the MERB thread. A random hacker, who has also somehow took over her phone #, would not have this type of response. Anyhow, the entire reasoning/excuse is completely illogical on many many levels.
Furthermore, her story has changed from one client to the next as well.
Since being made aware of all this, I have sent her messages on her second number (posted on her website), in addition to sending her a DM on Twitter – to which I have received no response/explanation.
The intention of this thread is to ideally motivate Alysson/Ivy to make things right through some level of refund/compensation. If this is not achieved, at the very least this thread will serve as documentation for future clients who may be considering her services.
Closing thoughts: the sting of all this is not only the loss of the money, but rather it will be much more difficult to ever deposit for future bookings. These types of events not only hurt the client, but also all of the fellow SPs in the industry since overall confidence in the deposit system is undermined.
