Just maybe, but if Opera's free VPN is on, it could mean sharing one of Opera's IP addresses with a bunch of other people. If someone's ad-blocker is detected (even though yours isn't) YouTube may red-flag that IP address for a while and reject all requests coming from it.Seems the message I got in the OP only applies to Opera browser and that is on an intermittent basis.
Right now opera browser is playing TY fine and not blocking anything in spite of running ad-blockers.
Other times today and yesterday Opera blocked all TY clips saying ad-blockers must be removed! IDK what is going on with Opera browser!
When running Firefox, Chrome and Brave browsers, TY plays fine on all of them with no issues with ad-blocker turned on.
Seems Opera browser is the only one blocking TY videos sometimes if the ad-blocker is turned on.
Using Opera free VPN now and YT is working fine right now playing everything.Just maybe, but if Opera's free VPN is on, it could mean sharing one of Opera's IP addresses with a bunch of other people. Yes that's the one I use also. Works great and right now YT is playing everything fine running Ublock.Ublock origin works on youtube.
Agreed!I don't get the need to pay for something that I already get for free. The constant ads are certainly annoying, but not worth paying $150 per year to get rid of.
Get a cheap laptop or mini PC that has an ad blocker on it and plug it into your TV with a HDMI cable. Or get a Chromecast and stream from the alternative YouTube apps that block ads.Agreed!
Use an ad-blocker and those annoying ads are gone for free.
Wish there was a way to put those ad-blockers on Smart TVS.
