I think 'Extras' have really taken over the MA industry all over Ottawa, especially since Backpage went down as the catalyst for the current climate.
My untested and unproven hypothesis:
- SP services had become harder to find (to some) and clients were left to turn to known spas or agencies only (for a few months anyhow). A slight boom for the MA industry.
- Some SP's returned to spas to reaccess new clients.
- Policing of 'extras' seems non-existent at most spas over the past 2 years, by (some) spa MGMT and police. They'll even advertise in the escort section for an MA shift at times.
- Why MGMT doesn't police 'extras'? If girls can and want to charge extras and are forbidden at one spa, they will leave to join another spa that turns a blind eye. Economics of supply and demand. It's double the $ for MA's take home, and girls talk to each other and modify their boundaries. Hiring new and inexperienced staff is time consuming for a spa and comes at a cost to them, especially if the MA is loyal and a good employee otherwise.
- Also, there would also be some pressure on MA's to offer 'extras', even before first meeting because some are using this for their screening of MA 'friendliness'. The same argument as MA's pressured to offer kissing and GFE basically, or not.
- Clients want to feel safe for SP and are paying a premium price for SP services from an MA. Better to pay a bit extra than having a bad or horrible experience overall.
- I know 'extras' have taken over some spas so bad that some attendants have no idea how to give a proper HJ as it wasn't EVER (as in zero times) the final service requested.
I obviously cannot prove this, but feel the veteran MA's at every spa know this all too well, and must go for it or sit idle for an entire shift, which must be really hard on an MA.
I personally dislike the 'extras' aspect and will visit an MA for a different experience than I would if I wanted SP services.
Maybe a +1 is all they can say, based on terb rules on MA extras?!
Times are a changing I feel, no idea if it's better for the industry overall though. You can only push boundaries so far before it causes other unforeseen reactions to start to manifest.
