Speaking of Lee Aaron at the Mississauga Tavern, how about Biff Naked from Vancouver?

Is this sbout who is the most talented, most influential, or hottest?

In terms of overall influence, I like Paul Waters' list, and would add Madonna, Grace Slick, Stevie Nicks, Joan Jett, Gwen Stefani, and believe it or not, Cyndi Lauper.

I thought we were talking Rock 'N' Roll? Aretha is the Queen of Soul, I thought? Not the Queen of Rock!!

There are some good picks here, Annie Lennox for sure!

Here and there
My faves are, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Janis Joplin and Grace Slick...(yeah, I'm ancient).

And a wonderfully versatile singer who could've been a great rocker if she'd wanted to go that route is Janis Siegel of Manhattan Transfer...

Stevie Nicks....she reminds me of a freindly favorite SP as well!
Add Madona...a real button pusher.
Debbie Harry, Chrissie Hynde, Annie Lennox

No offense , but the only thing worse than having Alanis on your list would be having Celine on it .

I agree train...

Celine Dion, Alanis Morissette, and Courtney Love may very well be the three most irritating and overrated women in music.

Well Courtney Love never composed her own songs, it was either done by Cobain or Billy Corgan

...and since she 'might' have killed one of them and piss the other one off, that's why we haven't seen a new album from 'Hole' in a long time

I'm surprised there's been no mention of Carole King. She wrote a lot of good old tunes. And, Tapestry is a classic album.
