Dani Alves shows how to deal with the racist pigs. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a goal!

I saw it happen while watching it live. I'm still applauding.

Bananas are my Viagra.

Breaking News:

Negotiations for the transfer of Ciro Immobile to Dortmund are almost complete. Kloop's system suits him, he has more pace than Lewandowski and is just as opportunistic. I also expect him to start against England over Balotelli.

When he scores for Dortmund will the tifosi be singing this:

Atletico Madrid defeated Chelsea 3-1 in a frantic Champions League semi-final second leg at Stamford Bridge, and as Jose Mourinho and Diego Simeone gave their post-match reactions to the waiting press, it was fairly apparent who was the happier of the two.

Simeone:"I want to congratulate the mothers of these players, because they gave them big cojones."

The defeat for Jose Mourinho will hit him hard. After his "specialists in failure" jibe towards Arsenal earlier in the season, many will most likely now remind him that unless there is a big turnaround again in the title race, he will have won nothing at all himself this season.

At the beginning of the campaign, such a scenario would see him leave the Blues by his own admission, per Matt Law of the Daily Mirror:

Mourinho: "Of course, it is about winning trophies. My DNA didn’t change, my nature didn’t change. I am not the kind of person to be at the same club for three or four years without winning a **trophy.

In this case, I don’t need the club to say ‘we are not happy with you, goodbye’. I will be the first one to say ‘I gave everything I could but I didn’t succeed, so let’s both go and try a different thing."

This is now the fourth time in a row that Mourinho has lost in the semi-finals of the Champions League, and it will be interesting to see whether he intends to follow through on his threat, or whether it was just another media nugget.

Diego Simeone's season at Atletico just gets better and better. Two wins away from winning the La Liga title for the first time in 18 years, one more will see Atleti claim a trophy they have never won.

The physical side of the game has never presented a problem for Simeone's charges, but he also allows his team to express themselves in a very modern take on the beautiful game.

Perhaps a new Special One resides at the Vicente Calderon.

Eliminated in the Quarter Finals of CL by a team that is good enough to qualify for the final as opposed to some team that went nowhere immediately.

Four points out of of first place in La Liga with three games left to go including the final game against Atletico Madrid who we need to beat to win Liga.

Notwithstanding a season ending injury to Victor Valdes and the retirement of Carles Puyol, we can also eat a banana, take a corner kick and kick racism in the balls in One Fell Swoop!

Not bad if you ask me, which you did.

So "The Special One" gets beat by his own apprentice, Simeone was an assistant coach at Inter.

Mourinho is an expert at catenaccio but in terms of overall tactics he's still two steps behind Carlino. Looking back on his career his career threatening leg break in the winter of 1985 sealed his destiny, constant sunshine from a very dark moment in his life. He missed Mexico86, then got released by Roma due to his painfully slow recovery. Ac Milan picked him up on a free transfer and the rest is destiny.

Love how Mourinho blames Norwich for not wanting to play after some of their recent performances....wish he was crucified by the English media like other managers.

Real Madrid gagged today after Atletico lost...but La Liga and EPL going down to the wire, cannot complain about that!

Prandelli has a problem most coaches would like, who starts in the World Cup? Dortmund fans will forget all about greedy Lewandoski.

Rodgers was going for the 5-0 or 6-0 win because goal differential might come into play against ManCity.

He gambled and lost

That's not the way futbol is played. Sitting back to protect a lead is the cheap and cowardly way to run the pitch.

A team is there to score as many goals possible. If not, don't bother showing up.

huh?.. so you're up 3-0 in the second half, and need to get 3 pts to stay atop the league with one game left? ..no its not cowardly ..its called "winning"

That's exactly the way futbol is played. Sitting back to protect a lead is the smart way to run the pitch.

Sorry folks can't translate Catalan, and won't even try.

Obviously Rogers doesn't understand catenaccio, that's a lead Mourinho would have known how to protect. The Irish Fens are not happy, the Italian Fens have been embarrassed by a relegation bound club.
