Has Real gone insane?

The grapevine tells me they are offering 96 million Euros for Gareth Bale. With the nation having a 20%+ unemployment rate, where the money coming from to throw away like this? The Hotspur would be insane not to take the offer, look at squad Napoli assembled off the 64 million Euros they got for Edinson Cavani. Tottenham could easily qualify for a CL with that level of scratch.

Bale is a good player, don't get me wrong - but it would be insane if he becomes the most expensive player ever. Compounded by the fact Real don't need him...do they want a shiny new signing to outdo Neymar & Barcelona?

I am not a Real fan, but the idea of Bale and Ronaldo in the same midfield? Wow.

Let'em pay. The Spanish league is well on its way to broke...might as well hurry it along.

A campaign where 'Los Merengues' won absolutely nothing. Where many high profile players made known to Perez that if Mou stayed another season, those very players would all request transfers. Where Atletico Madrid beat them in an epic Copa del Rey final and they can still hear the laughter in the streets of Madrid.

RM can't make magic so they opt for buying it. They're desperate to keep up with the boys of Camp Nou and they'll pay through the nose for it.

Are they insane? It's up to the fans to say that. All futbol fans worldwide know the answer to that, except RM fans.

Traditionally, Brit (Welsh) players have never done well in La Liga so let them roll the dice with Bale. It won't matter. Real Madrid will always be..well..Real Madrid.

Don don't discount the Roman Fox's ability to get things done, he is a completely different animal than Mou.

Let the deal be done. Tottenham can add depth to their lineup like Napoli did. I would love them knock ManCity out of a CL spot, they are ripe for the picking.

Juve didn't get their man, PSG opted not to release Marco Verratti from his contract. Many Giacherinni moves to Sunderland, that means Paul Pogba will be an every game starter.

Isn't Kobe injured. Wow I'm impressed!

Did a background check on this. Kobe's father Joe Bryant was also a professional basketball player who moved to Italy to continue his career.

It’s my understanding Real Madrid are bankrolled by a major Spanish bank. No matter what the Spanish economy is like, the bank wouldn’t have the balls to foreclose on Real, unless the bank runs into money problems themselves.

I am really not getting this Gareth Bale saga, yeah the dude is a great player but come on they are making him out to be something special. Like it has been said who is to say he will succeed? mind you if I was Spurs I would gladly accept the wacky amount of money whatever it is, then go out and buy a couple of really good players to challenge for that 4th CL spot in the EPL.

Brilliant move on the part of Rogers putting Sarah Davis as host of Soccer Central. She doesn't need anyone else to co-host on that show.

Nice to see my boys ManU get off to a flying start and also nice to see Arsenal do the big flop. The much hated Chelsea squad is up 2-0 already after only 20 min.

At the beginning of last season I correctly called that no EPL club will reach the semi-finals of the CL. I'm making the same call this year. Bayern, Dortmund, Barca and Real are top of the continent and I don't see any club taking them down. Manchester Shitty will not make it out of the qualification round.

Potential World Player of the year for 2013 - 14.

I join you on that call Von. It's clear to see the EPL with delusions of grandeur yet not being able to deliver when the chips are down.

Dortmund is only getting started. Bayern is going to be scary good, moreso than last year and RM has a coach that actually cares more about the pitch than the press conference.

As per my Blaugrana, 7 - 0 to start the season vs. Levante U.D.

Juventus got off to an emphatic with a 4 - 0 win over Lazio in the Super Cup. Carlos Tevez looks right at home as a zebra, Llorente will take longer to adjust.

Welcome to the Bayern bandwagon. Plenty of room and beer for all.

Gotze is not at that level yet, but we have other contenders for that title.
