stinks...2/15 this series, no RBI...completely disappeared (in the playoffs) since game 4 of the ALCS last year. The Yankees havent won it all since 2001, I think Mt. Steinbrenner is about to erupt!
Well, lots of Yankees haven't performed since that date.the_big_E said:stinks...2/15 this series, no RBI...completely disappeared (in the playoffs) since game 4 of the ALCS last year. The Yankees havent won it all since 2001, I think Mt. Steinbrenner is about to erupt!

Which is how the Jays won in '93.A-ROD said:Sorry I didn't produce guys...
On the serious side give a-rod credit, he came out right away and said he sucked. Don't forget one guy can't win it all. Play-offs is pitching, pitching and more pitching.
Why make the White Sox wait? They'd already scheduled Tuesday, and since there was nothing preventing this game from coming off, it went ahead as scheduled. Sometimes teams have to play back to back, even after a long travel day. That's just the way it is.the_big_E said:I know the rainout affected the schedule...but then they should have changed it again!
You're very insightful.Ranger68 said:
The playoffs are about the same thing the regular season is - scoring more than your opponents, which is equal measures offense and defense.
Maybe not "hands down", maybe "glove down"?Ranger68 said:No, I don't think Rodriguez stinks. I think he stinks less than any other player in the AL - that is, he should be the hands down MVP.
Bat down, at least.bigdik said:Maybe not "hands down", maybe "glove down"?
If I am an owner, salary aside I would take A-Rod on my team anyday. I don't think that there is a knowledgable ball fan in here who wouldn't.21pro said:but y'all still agree that A-Rod stinks...i think he's still a pretty good ball player.
There isn't a club in the majors he wouldn't improve. He is the best player in the AL, perhaps the game. The only guy I'd put on his level is Pujols.A-ROD said:If I am an owner, salary aside I would take A-Rod on my team anyday. I don't think that there is a knowledgable ball fan in here who wouldn't.
I think Papi will likely win MVP anyway. Not that he deserves it.bigdik said:Actually while that was a clank, I meant v Ortiz. I think if Papi played even a sub-standard first base he would be MVP. As a DH, he's really not worthy, he only plays offence.
