I love reading those AITA Reddit’s and though we should bring a couple here.

I was talking to an indy the other day and she was wondering about something.

So she has a client who loves S42. She offers this but won’t get her hair wet unless it is the last appointment of the day. For obvious reasons.

Her client insists he needs a daytime appointment so she agrees but only at a higher rate because she will have to spend all the time redoing her hair. It is long, not quite as long as mine but she would need to wash and condition it after he left because just being wet frizzes her out. She will have to use treatments, blow dry and re-style, etc. It takes a good hour or more to do. She feels like his appointments are more like 1.5 hrs because of the time post-time she has to spend.

He says she is being unfair. That if he booked at night, it would be cheaper and that it not right. It should all be one price.

He's the asshole some clients think they can get away with whatever they want just because "he's paying" for the service.

I don't think either is the asshole (yet) but she's right and he's wrong.
"I only do this at the end of the day" is a perfectly reasonable limit to put on things, and it isn't even some weird arbitrary one that is difficult to explain.
He's asking her to switch it up and break that rule, so charging extra for the inconvenience is fair. If he absolutely needs his session during the day then he has to suck it up
If he's a good regular, maybe she can decide if she has a day with no other bookings that she can do it for the normal price because she's not fucking up the work for later, but that isn't something he can demand.

I feel this is like that discussion you were having in the other thread where you pointed out that all the prep work is already part of the price. Therefore fucking with the efficiency of the prep work is something that needs to be considered.

(EDIT: He's only not the asshole yet depending on how hard he's pushing back. There's a tiny sliver of grace period where you can push back. Tiny. Pouting and complaining about it beyond a certain point tips him over into asshole. You were unclear how much complaining he is doing so I am giving him the benefit of the doubt for the moment.)

Sorry. Didn’t want to give the ending away right away. Apparently they could not agree on the day time price and she didn’t book the appointment because he said he couldn’t do the last appointment.

He said he would behave but she said the last time he was there and did a day appointment, she said no to the wet hair and she had to keep “slightly fighting him for position” to control not getting her hair wet. She wasn’t confident the same would not happen. This episode is what prompted her to make the “day” rate to begin with so she said better to pass.

Ya, the term is just more like a “who’s right and who’s wrong” I don’t know where the actual term started but that is the internet go-to term.

Ya, the term is just more like a “who’s right and who’s wrong” I don’t know where the actual term started but that is the internet go-to term.

One, the internet loves hyperbole. (So "am I wrong?" became "am I the asshole?")
Two, most of the AITA stories really do involve people reaching the point where one of them is acting like an asshole or they have reached a complete impasse about the behavior.

Everything is a fetish as far as I can tell. There are like 8 billion people on the planet, even really rare fetishes are likely to have somebody into them.
