She is looking out for her Province
[/QUOTE]

Not really. If she was she wouldn't have cancelled $33B worth of green projects. Viable or not, that $$$ was in play and then poof gone.

She wasted $80MM on fake Tylenol that couldn't even be used or sold. $10MM for shipping alone. They didn't even receive all of it.

Tried to privatize blood services, actually paid for the private company to get equipment up to speed, they shit the bed and they had to pay to cancel the 25 year contract after only 8 months in
They don't even know how many hundreds of millions punted there.

UCP closed the SuperLab, basically out of spite.

Edmonton was know to be an AI hub years before anyone was even using the term AI and the UCP punted that funding - no reason given.

They spent millions of advertising across the country for people to move to AB and now she's complaining about having to provide for services. The UCP literally advertised $500/month bedrooms as a lure. What kind of talent are you attracting if someone is settling for a $500 bedroom?

Which is not too far of the crap that DoFo does here in Ontario.
He cancelled wind projects @ $200 million, then brought some of them back.
Is privatizing health care though it costs way more so that he can say he's spending more on health care. We just get less of more expensive services.

It's almost like if you put up barriers in an industry, business don't want to invest.

I think that a pipeline to the west coast makes a lot of sense. However, this is a long and difficult process. There needs to be agreement with BC (it's their province and waterways that will bear the brunt of spills) and the First Nations (which can happen but will always be a challenge). I don't think you can blame the Feds. Harper never got this done, and it isn't something Ottawa should (or could) ram down the throats of a province.

Smith is an idiot. I think we can all see that. But, she isn't totally wrong about the need for the pipeline. I think getting off the American grid gives us a strategic advantage, since we wouldn't be reliant on the US market any longer and could get market rates for crude. This is the Trump effect. We can no longer trust the US to be a reasonable or rational trading partner any longer, and it is probably past time we started to look and build other markets.

Spending billions of government money to prop up the oil$gas industry is a waste of cash on a project that just pours more gas on the catastrophe of climate change.

Hansen says we will hit 2ºC warming soon, which means major tipping points and disaster.

Toronto should offer to send all the refugees there lol. Then we forget her predecessors who spent BILLIONS on a pipeline to connect to the US keystone when Biden said he was gonna kill it. Its quite amazing that such blatent corruption and incompetence is overlooked. Tarred over by the wealth of oil

I think that's because it is well understood by all our leaders green
projects are not as profitable as fossil fuel projects.

Had there been a choice between a $12B green project of wind power
development offshore Nova Scotia and the $12B Bay Du Nord project which
one you think would have won the approval of Trudeau, Freeland, Jonathan
Wilkinson and the climate lunatic Steven Guilbeault?

'There is no B.C. coast. It's Canada's coast': Sask. premier supports Alta. pipeline proposal

So there is no Alberta oil, its Canada's oil.
There is no Sask potash, its Canada's.

Smart thinking.
